	HULLING ON THE COMBINE SEEMS IMPRACTICAL Field hulling of rice to eliminate the hull disposal for mills has been studied. Rice CAN be hulled on the combine with a rubber-faced huller that gives a product equivalent to in-mill dry-rice hulling. Even so, adding another component to the already overworked combine and the problems of inactivating rancidity enzymes in the rice seem to veto the notion. No more work will be done on this.
